With only two weeks until Christmas, the full festive spirit is underway! If you’re anything like us, you’ve got staff Christmas parties, family get-togethers, and the upcoming New Year’s Eve holiday to prepare for; we’re as happy as sugarplums thinking of the variety of reasons to look and feel your seasonal best.

However, all that variety can get a bit overwhelming at times- what do I wear to a gingerbread decorating party? Are pants okay at an evening cocktail party? What’s the dress code at a Holiday Open House? Knowing what to wear at each of your events can at times be as stressful as crossing off all the names on a holiday gift list. For those holiday staff parties, it’s best to make an impression without going over the top. Try a patterned blazer and matching skirt (call for details) to pump up the volume on your usual business attire. This look adds a bit of dressed-up appeal while remaining professional.

From Fashion Shows to Trunk Shows and So Much More…

We have been busy bees at Allie Ollie these past three weeks. Between Tucson Fashion Week and Santa Fe Fashion Week, there have been 3 runway shows, 4 trunk shows, 1 TV show, and at least twenty boutique visits. It has been an exciting time for us as we sold our line to a great set of stores in Albuquerque and are still following up with a variety of promising leads.

Wednesday AM we were up early and at the set of New Mexico Style to introduce our designs and discuss the events for Santa Fe Fashion Week. Here is a great pic of our models backstage. Who knew we were among some of New Mexico’s modeling elite- including ReShea Kelly of the New Mexico CW and Sabra Steele!

AZ Bloggers Style September

As October fast approaches, and summer wardrobes transition to longer layers, darker colors, and cute boots, we asked our favorite fashion pros to give us a few thoughts on how they’d style an item from our Fall Collection.  And by fashion pros, we mean fashion bloggers of course! Who better to know the best ways to style any outfit than real women like you! Today we give you a few looks from two of our favorite Arizona-based bloggers, Sheila of Chasing Sheila and Natalie of When Life Hands You a Pear…

Each lady was given our Emerald Elegance Perfect Shrug from our Fall 2013 Collection and asked to style a head-to-toe look using our jacket.  This machine washable lightweight shrug, made in the USA, has a regal emerald and gold-toned print and is adorned across the front with several jewel embellishments. We were delighted by what they came up with. From dressed down in a t-shirt, jeans, and boots, to a sexy skirt and skinny belt combo, these ladies really demonstrated the versatility of this flirty jacket.

We love the detail in this image from Natalie; it really shows off the shimmer from our jewels and her beautiful gold necklace as well!  Natalie is a fashion blogger based in Mesa; she showcases her day-to-day outfits with a focus on “budget-friendly” looks and ones that flatter her pear shape.  We love her real woman status!

Doesn’t Natalie look great here?! So sassy! We think this look is very business casual; we love how she paired the shrug with a toned down chambray shirt to offset our bling.  And the skinny belt is genius!  She cinches in the shrug and shows off her beautiful waist.
